high neck of the prom

Noah started taking his high dose (360 mg) of Temodar on Monday (4/2) and had no issues until nausea and vomiting started on Wednesday afternoon. He has felt really sick since Wednesday and has not wanted to eat anything. The Zofran didn't seem to be helping him with the nausea, so I gave him Benadryl this morning. I read on the Atlanta Cancer Parents network that other parents have found this helped their children while on chemo. It has helped him today and he was able to eat a few grapes and drink an Ensure. We are hopeful that he will start feeling better soon. He also started having a headache today, which is known to be a side effect of the chemo as well. No more chemo until Monday, April 30th. Thank goodness he has some time to recover. high neck of the prom

I was very excited on Wednesday morning when Noah opened and closed his left hand. He hasn't been able to do this for about 2-3 weeks. He and I praised God for this blessing!! I'm attaching a picture of Noah and I while we waited to see the doctor. Noah has a beautiful soul, a great sense of humor, and keeps me smiling. I will have to get a picture of Noah when he smiles with his eyes. He looks like an emoji! I love this boy!!

Today, I had to take my husband to urgent care because he was having severe muscle spasms in his neck and shoulder. He was given muscle relaxers and pain medicine, which has helped some but he's still very uncomfortable. The doctor indicated it could take 4-5 days to heal. I'm very thankful that my neighbor was able to come over to stay with Noah while I took Tony to urgent care. God is good and he promises he will take care of our every need, if we just ask!

My prayer is that Noah will get his appetite and strength back, so that he can finish catching up with his schoolwork and go to prom with his friends on April 28th.

With Love,
Sandy
