I spent Saturday afternoon at an IBRA show at The Lee County Posse Arena in North Fort Myers watching a horse show consisting of nothing but Cloverleaf Barrel Racing. There were a lot of competitors, almost exclusively women which is typical of barrel racing, but somehow a couple guys managed to slip in there too. This is International Barrel Racing Association sponsored/sanctioned. It's timed, but I found some of the additional rules very confusing. Also the dress code was m...uch less formal than the barrel racing at the recent rodeo where western hats, boots, and long Long Sleeve Formal Dressesd, collared, tucked in western shirts were required. These folks were extremely casual! Quite a few participants, but almost no audience. Not well publicized I suppose. It was a WARM day with bright sunshine and beautiful blue skies. I enjoyed myself. Got away from the farm for awhile!
