Escudo de Cabo Rojo
There are MANY questions from fellow wrestlers, fans, and close friends asking if I'm back as an active wrestler. Last nights homecoming under 100 to ZERO1 has been in the works for the last nine months, even before the surgery. With my major neck surgery, the chances of me doing anything in the ring went from 100% to 0%...or so I thought. My wonderful surgeon put me back together better than I ever imagined and just a week ago, I got a clearance to return to the ring. Does that mean I... am back? Not really. Fortunately, for me, I have and had the best partner and friend in CW Anderson. I wish I could tell you last night was a rare instance when CW did 99% of the match and I just ran my mouth, but that's been our formula for 20 years! CW never gets the credit he deserves. I also was in there with good brothers that I have known for 15 years that I trusted. I wish I could tell you that last night was the plan all along, but it wasn't. The stars aligned, the smoke and mirrors were in place, and I got a small chance to be a part of a special night, for a special crowd, in a special venue that has been near and dear to my heart for the last 15 years. Last night wasn't a comeback. It was a homecoming. A little taste of something I thought I wouldn't be able to do again. I can't tell you what will happen in the future. What I can promise is that I will always do my best to entertain to the best of my abilities, but at the end of the day, I just want to make home safe to the family I love so much. THAT is the most important thing. My family is everything. FOREVER Steve |
