Escudo de Cabo Rojo
This brought tears to my eyes. My dad found a very matted poodle near his work in downtown St. Louis in 1976. The poor baby had chewed off his most of his fur on his hind quarters an at first dad thought he had mange. He was so black and matted elsewhere. It took dad several days to catch him. He caught with a chocolate bar. I still remember when dad pulled in the driveway, this nasty looking dog was sticking his had out the car window. We immediately took him to ...our vet. Gratefully, he did not have manage, but someone had thrown scolding hot liquid on his backside. The vet trimmed him a bit and said he was an apricot people, which mom had wanted. So as the ordered, we brought him home and bather and trimmed him. Mom had to shave him to the skin but she didn't have the heart to trim his ears. To our amazement, the pitch black/dirty puppy was actually Snow White with a splash of apricot. His ears were fluffy white. Thus he was introduce to my other poodle brother, Pierre, as Fluffy. He had a good life and lived until he was 17 finally taken from us due complications of diabetes. Sometimes people would never understand why we would rescue the baby birds, and other animals and it is just the right thing to do. That is unconditional love in my mind. See More |
