Here are just a few statistics from a few states but I am sure it applies to Canada too. There is no reason for new litters of puppies or sad kittens because the shelters and rescues are always overloaded. Please sterilize and don't add to this horrible overpopulation that results in so many deaths of healthy animals. Smarten up.
