ONE POT PIZZA PASTA
Ingredients:
1/2 pound Italian Sausage, without the casing...
1/2 cup Pepperoni
1/2 cup mini Pepperoni
20-25 ounces Tomato Basil Sauce (1 bottle)
10 ounces Rigatoni pasta
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1/2 teaspoon Dried Oregano
1/4 teaspoon Dried Basil
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
Salt & Pepper to taste
Parsley, chopped for garnish
1 1/2 cups Water
Directions:
Preheat oven to broil.
In a large, oven-proof skillet (with lid) heat the Olive Oil and Italian Sausage over medium heat. Cook until browned and cut up to a crumble about 5-6 minutes. Drain the excess fat.
Add 1/4 cup of your mini Pepperoni and heat through for about 1 minute, remove from heat.
Add Water, Tomato Sauce, Oregano, Basil, Garlic Powder, dry Pasta and Salt & Pepper. Mix completely and put back on the stove.
Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer until pasta is cooked. It takes about 12-13 minutes (remember not to over-cook the pasta).
Remove from heat and add a layer of Pepperoni and the rest of the mini Pepperoni. Top with all of the shredded Mozzarella Cheese.
Put in oven and cook until the cheese is melted. This takes about 2 minutes.
Garnish with Parsley and serve!
