Good day everyone. There is a new adventure ahead of you today and it’s fresh and exciting. It’s called “life with Christ”. Get on board.
Today’s Prayer
Father, sometimes Your Spirit speaks to us in quiet ways, in a “still small voice,” so easily missed while the TV is blaring, the telephone is ringing, and electronic games and “electronic children” are all pulling us in a dozen different directions. Quiet us down, Lord, that we in turn may be a quieting influence in our fami...lies and so that we as a family may HEAR You more clearly and be more sensitive to the leading of Your Spirit in this year ahead. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
Let’s eat.
The Lord’s Promise of Victory
Isaiah 43:14-21
The LORD your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, says: “For your sakes I will send an invading army against Babylon. And the Babylonians will be forced to flee in those ships they are so proud of. I am the LORD, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator and King. I am the LORD, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses. I drew them beneath the waves, and they drowned, their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick. “But forget all that–it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness for my people to come home. I will create rivers for them in the desert! The wild animals in the fields will thank me, the jackals and ostriches, too, for giving them water in the wilderness. Yes, I will make springs in the desert, so that my chosen people can be refreshed. I have made Israel for myself, and they will someday honor me before the whole world.
Quote of the Day
Give to us clear vision that we may know where the wild things are quotes to stand and what to stand for — because unless we stand for something, we shall fall for anything.
